“All Staff were incredibly lovely and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel in general was lovely and in a great location. The cleaning staff could pay a little more attention when cleaning the rooms but other than that, it was a great stay! Reception staff were wonderful!”

“Excellent property right in the centre of Funchal. We stayed in the top floor apartment V, which had a lovely balcony that has a side view towards the see and sunshine from midday. The kitchen is full of all utensils and cleaning products. Tupperware came in handy to take on hikes with you. There are a couple of points to note. There is no lift so you need to make sure you can climb plenty of steps. The mattress is quite firm and the building carries the noise so you can hear a lot of things……

“Beautiful property with an excellent layout. Staff and service were impeccable. We enjoyed several restaurants including Pau de Lume and Nikkei on premises. We also enjoyed massages and use of the immense Laurea Spa. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Un séjour parfait. L'accueil est au top, la chambre et la literie sont irréprochables. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis et chouchoutés du début à la fin. Côté table, les cocktails, le restaurant et le petit-déjeuner étaient tout simplement excellents. Le cadre, raffiné et au standing un peu rétro, offre une véritable bulle de douceur. Les piscines avec des horaires larges nous ont permis de nous relaxer, nous n avons pas testé le spa , ce sera pour une prochaine fois. Seul petit bémol……

“Centrally located in town. Tons of restaurants and bars to pick from. Great hotel overall. Only disadvantage is parking is either on street or in a parking garage requiring you to bring your luggage too and from where you park.”

“The resort and staff were incredible! The facilities were well maintained, food onsite was great with a variety of restaurants and bars to choose from. Also super close to restaurants in surrounding area and a short 10 min drive from downtown Funchal with the convenience of a hop on hop off bus stop right at the resort! Highly recommended!”

He anticipated what we might need, offered thoughtful recommendations, and followed up to make sure everything was perfect. The rest of the team mirrored that same warm, professional attitude: quick to greet, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely proud of their work. It’s rare to find a hotel where the service feels……

“Stayed for a week, we only did bed and breakfast but were given a 2pm gratuitous late check out due to evening flight. The staff were incredibly helpful with car rental, restaurant recommendations and other queries. I'd highly recommend the hotel”

“Property staff quite friendly and speak plenty if languages. Check in was available early and checkout we were able to store our luggage and use all the facilities until we were ready to leave funchal. Breakfast buffet is incredible with plenty of variety and volume. No nuisance birds due to on-site falconry. Would recommend, and return. Stayed with adult friends.”
