“I booked a stay here for my and my partner’s anniversary. Upon arrival, we received an incredibly warm and festive greeting by staff, a delicious glass of wine, and a run down of the property amenities and suggestions for local activities and attractions. There notified us of some damage to the original room I booked by previous guests, and they were nice enough to upgrade us to a larger, poolside suite at no extra charge. “They allowed our dog, which was great for a reasonable price. However, the morning we left her food bowl was filled with ants inside the room. The bathroom needs a deep clean. There was leftover hair. In the corners of the floor were dirty. The pool look like it needed to be cleaned. We didn’t swim in it. It was kind of brown on the bottom. “This place IS A GEM!!! Very pet friendly, nice staff, grounds are beautiful, complimentary breakfast is really, really good. This place has a great location close to everything. It has a pet “relief” area, cute pool and laundry!!! It is right on River Road but the cars going by didn’t bother me at all. Close parking so helpful. “The property was nice , clean. Everyone nice and helpful. No cleaning during stay , but able to get amenities from front desk. My only complaint, and I’m sure can’t be helped, but room smelled like a fireplace . Very strong. And we never used fireplace.”
