A fiasco for four elderly women on a get-away
The property was located at the top of a VERY steep driveway (75 degree angle ,nearly straight up, 100 yards long) which was wet and covered with leaves, adding to danger. We had to beg a local to drive our car (and us) up to the chalet. The chalet had no working electricity, was in complete disarray, under renovation, and was not supposed to be on the market. It was a nightmare for us ladies to finally arrive and find that. The only good thing is that our money was refunded by evolve and, I hope, booking fees will be refunded by vrbo. This was our first experience with vrbo and was not a good one.

Steep driveway
The property was just okay. Our kids enjoyed the air hockey table so that was nice to have. The drive way is just so steep we were afraid to leave in the rain. Once you arrive at the top there is hardly any room to turn around. The listing says there is room for two vehicles but that would be extremely tight. Additionally, the front doors were double doors and were not hung plumb with small gaps at the top of one side and the bottom of the other. We felt like it was not super safe. In conclusion we only stayed two nights and that was enough. I wouldn’t book again solely bc of the driveway.

Parking and getting to chalet especially at night was very scary. I would not stay again. We did love the hot tub. Also not having TVs in each bedroom was inconvenient.

Great time
Cabin was very clean, we even had a bear visit/break in. Owner responded and gave us advice. Was very exciting and made our trup even more memorable. Close to downtown but quiet enough to enjoy the mountains.

Perfect for my family
My family with a mix of ages, stayed at the Chalet Village while we visited Smoky Mtn National Park. It was centrally located to the park and the bustling cities of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We loved the kitchen, living areas, the air hockey and the hot tub. The bedrooms were just right and plenty of space for the 5 of us. The upstairs bedroom was a disappointment. Due to the iron in the water, the bottom of the decorative white shower curtain was stained and moldy. This was a big disappointment. But we made due and still used the bathroom. Overall, this was a lovely stay and very perfect for our visit to the area.

This place was perfect for my husband and two small children under 5. It was simple, close to downtown Gatlinburg, anakeesta, and laurel falls hike. We will choose this place again if available during our next family vacation

Friends get away
This cabin was in a great location near Gatlinburg. It has 3 great rooms and a comfortable living area and kitchen/dining area. It was a great place for a few friends to spend a weekend together. Hot tub was very nice to relax in. Quiet location also. Very close to Gatlinburg, without the noise of the crowded tourist spot. Only 2 downsides is there is only one shower and the driveway is very steep and not room for more than 2 or 3 cars.

Not for multi-vehicle family
Read the reviews after the fact, to find that the driveway is pretty steep, and it has a switchback to another cabin, which is fenced off, so wonder how they get out. The parking landing is not very large. This isn’t a driveway you want to back down on, so turning around is a bit of a challenge. I have a large 4wd truck, so parking for 3 cars is not going to cut it. Once past the driveway, the cabin is decent. All the beds are large, and have the veils on them. I thought in the pictures I was looking at the same bedroom, all three look similar. Not many amenities to this cabin, only a shower (no tub), the dryer is missing the start knob, so it’s useless. But it’s all Pintrested up. Living room is cozy, glass dining tables are a bit annoying, just some wood tables in a cabin make better sense. Ceilings and fixtures still need a cleaning, lots of cobwebs still remain, as mentioned in previous reviews. I don’t tend to leave negative reviews, but would not stay here again. The property owners are trying to update some areas of the cabin, but it looks like poor workmanship and lack of trim carpenters are a dying breed in this area.

Nice Cabin but a few challenges
You should be aware this property has a VERY steep driveway. I do have a 2 wheel drive vehicle that made it up okay but I was not prepared when I first got there- would have just liked a heads up. In the winter you will really need chains and a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Otherwise a nice stay. Hot tub overflows a bit so there was some wood rot along the porch but nothing major. Room to be cozy, lots of nature to view. Saw turkeys and bears right outside the cabin. Close to town so plenty to do. Also a quick drive to Pigeon Forge for more options. Would recommend, but need to be aware.

Great Location! As basic of a Cabin as it gets!
Location is as good as it gets to Gatlinburg! Very, very basic cabin with tons of room for upgrading. Numerous lightbulbs out throughout the cabin and the dryer didn’t work at all. Very frustrating to wash clothes and find out dryer doesn’t work. Beds are comfortable and it only has one shower for 3 bedrooms.

Great location in regards to getting to outlets, the islands, and the village. Cute and cozy. Driveway is slightly terrifying the first time you go up it. Don’t recommend coming unless you have an suv. Best to arrive during daylight.
