The Clematis: lots of variation in room types

We love Goa! Food, people and beaches are awesome! Cant imagine going to a better place at xmas time. The best thing about this hotel is the people who work there. The staff are eager to help out and give advice. The breakie is a good southern meal. The pool is in a nice setting and having your meal by the poolside is terrific! Rooms need major renos - and hot water is an issue. Hopefully the new owner will get on this.

Hotel needs an update

The hotel is I a great location and beach is fabulous! However the hotel is in serious need of an overall update. The rooms are damp, cracked cement floors, and the bathroom is a cement block that floods daily; worst bathroom I've seen in a hotel. We had bugs in the room throughout our stay!!

OUR WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY HOTEL !

Cons: Needs more staff, lacks hospitality, Customer Service needs improvement, Rooms need renovation.
Had booked this hotel (paid full in advance) for 1 Night only to have an experience of the Aqua Room. We reached the hotel at around 1.00, their check-in time & were asked to have lunch as the room was still being checked-out. We returned after lunch at 2, & to our shock, were given a Palm Room instead of the Aqua Room.We were told that the Aqua rooms were full & that they had a booking from the Delhi Head Office for Palm Room & tried to compensate our room booking with a Free Dinner. We insisted we talk to the Duty Manager & they refused to contact him stating he is not available & cannot be disturbed. Only after we asked them to either cancel our booking & give us a written apology did he call the Duty Manager who came rushing to the situation. After stern assertiveness from our end, & a long argument they said they have arranged for an Aqua Room. (SURPRISE!) After wasting an entire hour, they claim that the Aqua room is available & that their MD was occupying it & he is been shifted to another room. We checked into the room, & the room is PATHETIC, STINKS OF CIGARETTE, BATHROOMS ARE UNCLEAN, BEDDING IS NOT CHANGED & ITS A DISASTER. The breakfast is stale & cold. Hot Milk in the kettle had turned sour & was rotten. The room was dirty,stained,stinky with cobwebs and spiders Bathrooms/Aqua Room is really not in a condition to be used, it has cracked walls, & moss growing on it. A Truly disappointing experience & a big turnoff, makes you regret booking this hotel.

Recommeded resort on condolim beach

I have booked this resort for 3 nights initially. I booked for aqua rooms, which is ground floor rooms with small pool in the backyard. Unfortunately, it wasnt availabale as we are 3 hours late. They offerd us level 1 room, delux rooms, which was exactly the same, apart from not having backyard pool. Although, having pool doesnt make much differnce that we came to know later. Room experience, service, cleanliness was superb. This resort has a swimming pool, which provides amazing experience. Condolim beach is just 2 min direct walk from backside gate of this resort. Morning breakfast is the best thing of all facilities this resort provides. Staff is friendly and Helpful. After three nights, we have been moved to level 2 room, as our current room was already booked. We moved to room 303. This room was little bit smaller and less premium than our older room. One complaint that we had was, hot water shower wasn't working properly.we made a complaint but it wasn't properly resolved. No one turn up to fix it. Otherwise all other facilities was same as before. Overall, my experience with this resort was very satisfactory, apart from few issues with room 303. Recommended suggestion to this resort to improve service is, WATER SHOULD ALWAYS BE COMPLIMENTARY. I didnt like they charged as for two extra water bottles. Otherwise it was all good.

Pésimo servicio

El hotel esta muy bonito, tiene una piscina muy linda, pero el Personal es de lo peor, un día no limpiaron mi cuarto, no sabían como usar la máquina para cobrar con tarjeta de crédito y tuve que ir al ATM y un empleado se ofreció a hacerme masaje y pasaba insinuandose y viéndome con una mirada horrible cada vez que lo veía durante los 4 días que estuve ahí. El desayuno FATAL!!!

Fantastic

We went for our Honeymoon. Booked for Palm but were upgraded to Aqua room 105. The room was large and very comfortable. It was our honeymoon and they gave us a complimentary cake and wine bottle, and decorated the room nicely as well. The beach, which is very calm with a few foreign tourists, is a 5 minute walk through an empty plot behind the hotel. Breakfast spread was also pretty good. Really nice service and fun and hassle free experience. Will recommend highly.
