"The property was flooded by the river in December. They are remaking all the gardens. The front desk people are terrible. They dont have information and are the opposite of a client service. The food is wonderful. It is an eco-hotel without running water in the toilets but that is part of the philosophy. Tryed to pay with the credit card online so I did not have to pay a surcharge, but the front desk had not updated the system so it could not be done and had to pay a surcharge."

We had a great stay at Yachay. The staff is very caring. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious. The hotel is surrounded by nature and therefore very relaxing. I wished there was a larger pool but we appreciated the jacuzzi and made good use of it. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the park but has some steep stairs, therefore not for people with mobility issues. You have to get tickets for the park as the hotel is inside the park. We absolutely loved our visit at Villa Maria! Every member of the staff was so friendly and willing to help with any questions or requests. The rooms were just what we needed - a wonderful, modern bathroom, a big bed, and a nice balcony with views of the ocean. The hotel is very close to an entrance of Tayrona National Park (which we hiked), and also went tubing down a nearby river, per the suggestion of the staff. The place is very hilly with lots of stairs so I wouldn't recommend for someone...

Very friendly, very helpful. When our driver couldn't make it to the Casa to take us to Santa Marta airport for our flight to Bogota, Marisela took us both in our car and drove the hour and 15 minutes to drop us off at the airport.
Even though we don't speak much Spanish at all, her entire staff took the effort to communicate with us in English throughout our stay.
The location is fantastic and you have the choice of tenting on the beach to common dorm type accomodation to a couple of rooms...

Such an incredible experience that you can't get anywhere else near Santa Marta! Absolutely recommend the scenic boat ride to the property and indulge in the delicious food at Tewimake's restaurant Zamu. The staff from the restaurant to the entire facility went above and beyond to make this an exceptional stay. Highly recommend!!

This property was such a pleasant surprise. It ended up being my favorite stay of my whole trip. The staff is so attentive and you can't beat starting the day already inside the park. I transferred to Senda Watapuy because I thought it would be better with the pool but it was actually kind of a step down from Zirwa. Definitely would come back here! The only negative thing was the hot water went out. The staff immediately called someone to fix it (replace the gas) then it worked for 2 seconds and...

We had a great time. Highly suggested to stay in the park for a night at least. This is the best place where to do it if you are not the camping type. Comfort while in the middle of Tyrona. We also got a massage at the spa which was just incredible (way above our expectations).
I would go back in a heart bit. The one tiny thing to notice is that the food is not so great. Ok for a couple of meals but I wish there were other options for that. Otherwise, perfect !!
