Old House Inn.. Nothing outstanding

Posted Apr 3, 2017 on Hotels
This is not a historical property. Just an old 100 year old big house . The eqqs for breakfast were cooked when the house was built. We would have had a better stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Nothing special here.

Beautiful, Historic, and SO RELAXING!

I was in Hammond for a two night high school reunion in October... While I loved seeing my old classmates, it was a little overwhelming and required a lot of energy trying to chat and catch up with every person there... the nights ran very late, too! Michabelle Inn was the PERFECT quiet oasis to return to after all that!!! SOO comfortable, private, peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing... especially soaking in the DEEP jetted tub. Exactly what my poor feet needed after standing and dancing all night in 3 inch heels! Getting up in the quiet morning and going downstairs to eat a wonderful, freshly made breakfast while looking out on the beautiful grounds was a great way to ease into my day... followed by going up to my room to enjoy my coffee while sitting on the great balcony to overlook the fountain and beautiful landscaping. I hardly wanted to go in to get dressed and leave for the visit to the rest of Hammond and my old friends. So nice, that I vowed to come back with my husband for a romantic weekend getaway from the kids and hustle and bustle of life. Such a great value, too. I will definitely be returning to the Michabelle Inn again and again!

Staying at a Historical Hotel.

Pros: The free breakfast was good. A very quiet area of the city. Very nice scenery around the Inn.
Cons: No telephones in rooms.
Location: Near shopping areas and city parks.
Very good rooms and great service. I would recommend this Hotel to couples, Business travelers and you can get married there also.

Smile!

Michebelle Inn was such a serene and beautiful place to stay. The Oriental suite was cozy and spotless. We loved the jacuzzi tub and the tasty breakfast. However, there were a couple of concerns. First, the shampoo had been opened previously and used, and only a half of roll of toilet paper was available. The wife was very friendly and accommodating; however, the husband was not especially friendly. He seemed to be a bit put out because we needed toilet paper before it was the scheduled time to replenish supplies in the room. He did smile when we turned in the keys at check out. Perhaps he was having a bad two days, but we will probably not stay again since we didn't like the feeling as though we were a bother.
