This is such a magical property, the accommodations are so unique and beautifully appointed with amazing views and total privacy. The food is amazing and the service outstanding. We have been returning to this property every few years since first visiting on our honeymoon and still love it.

It's simply a unique, luxurious, tranquil & liberating place with impeccable service (thanks to Dirk, Roy, the housekeepers and dining staffs) and a wonderful vibe for romance! The only thing we didn't like was the initial drive up to the property but, beyond that, it was a lovely romantic retreat !

Romantic Getaway with Breathtaking Views

Breathtaking views from Moon River Villa. Decor and carpentry of our villa was exquisite. Service and staff are very friendly and professional. Meals were delicious and portions are very generous.

We loved our stay in the New Moon room. The attention to detail in this room was extraordinary and made our whole experience seem so special. The service was great! The food was DIVINE. The view spectacular! I really hope we can return for another stay soon!

Wir waren nun das 2. Mal hier. Einfach wunderschön. Der Ausblick ist einmalig, der Service wirklich super. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt. Das Ambiente im Restaurant abends sehr entspannt und bietet eine tolle Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist super lecker. Morgens zum Frühstück draußen sehr exotisch mit den freilaufenden Pfauen. Zudem ist das Frühstück sehr abwechslungsreich und reichlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Ein toller Ort um noch einmal runter zu fahren und zu entspannen, nach einem abenteuerlichen Urlaub. Wir haben es sehr genossen.

Fantastic accommodation. Very private - each villa with own pool. Massages in the villa. A place to go and relax. A huge plus - the food. Supper included in the rate. The food is excellent and of a very high quality. Before you check in you receive an email enquiring about allergies. My partner is gluten intolerant. He received a separate menu each time catering for his specific need and he raved about the food. Even in the villa I had normal biscuits and he hag gluten free biscuits. On of the best places we have stayed in the world. Highly recommended.

A superb lodge to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery and superb food. Don’t think about it go, but not don’t take a low slung car as the 4K drive to the lodge is a bit bumpy in places.

A magical place, and a stay to remember.

Having read such amazing reviews for this place, expectations were high, and were met and exceeded. The track to get there from the main road is an adventure in itself and the lodge was stunning - every item in there told a story. The outside pool and day bed were just a pure pleasure in the calm, quiet, natural surroundings, the food was beautiful, the cocktail bar surrounded by water, the billiards room, the incredible attentive staff (particular shout outs to Zodwa and Dirk for their great service)... it all just came together for the most amazing holiday stay we've ever had. It's not cheap, but if you can afford a couple of nights here, it's such a wonderful experience, and given what you get for the price, you'll go away thinking it's very worth it.
