For couples seeking an active yet relaxing getaway, staying in the village center is ideal. You'll be right at the doorstep of the Pennine Way and the path leading up to Pen-y-ghent, allowing for immediate access to stunning hikes. Travelers who prioritize convenience and a sense of community will also find the village center a good fit.

The best time to go to Horton is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is most favorable for outdoor activities.

During this period, you'll experience milder temperatures and less rainfall, which is ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
