Conversation from downstairs( not even particularly loud) was audible in my room. Repeated wierd noise was reported to reception - possibly a toilet flushing itself . However facilities were snug and warm, and lovely food was served in Yorkshire sized portions!

Loved the owner so proud and hard working - found us a table when full . Food was a little over priced room was ok - breakfast was a mixup - you think your getting a full breakfast then they give you a menu, its a sausage or bacon sandwich or pay £15 For a full breakfast. Its a shame they do that - leaving on a low.

Good food, good beer, pleasant staff, especially Lisa who looked after me at Breakfast, brightened up my morning. Rooms clean and spacious. No negatives!

staff very helpfull and professional. dining area sparkled, breakfast excellent. Hotel rooms cramped and airless due to closed windows for traffic noise. no walk in shower available in the rooms we were offered. only double beds. Looks like all renovations and improvementshave gone into the restaurant and bar. bed rooms outdated and in need of renovation

I expected no AC. I did NOT expect my windows to be 20' from the road. With no AC, windows need to be open and it's a noisy road. Lorries drive late (11:30) and Farmers start early (4:20 AM). The spot lights illuminating the sign right outside of our windows didn't help with sleep either. There was no shower; just a bath tub. And our room was falling apart. The dresser drawers fall out. One drawer knob fell of (rm #6), particle board on the tub showing. We had 3 nights booked. We checked out after the first night and moved to 315 Hotel 2.8 miles away. FAR superior!! We would have preferred to spend all 3 nights elsewhere after seeing the room, even though we'd have to pay, but 315 didn’t have a room for our first night.

Property was lovely with great views and restaurant was a high quality. Slightly unpleasant surprise with a charge for breakfast although booked including breakfast - as it was not explained at check in it only included continental, nor at breakfast when explaining the menu or taking the breakfast order. On checkout when I raised this I was told the wait staff would be told but still left with the bill!

Amazing restaurant! Which is why we stayed the night to walk down to restaurant. My bathroom didn't have any shower hook and the hot water ran out too fast, and my parents shower was electric which was hot/cold, plus breakfast was a little slow as they had changed to buffet but didn't tell us so we waited around ages. But the dinner and the staff were super polite and I've been going there for 20 years and enjoyed the food every time! That part is worth it alone! But all in all a charming stay.

Service was absolutely terrible, no running hot water or towel in room to have a bath or shower overall experience extremely disappointing as was my anniversary I had given this a second chance, will not be returning this is not a 5 star restaurant or hotel.

Pot holes when walking to the accommodation area need addressing as soon as possible, dangerous especially for elderly people ,2 bags of ready mix tarmac would do the job ,otherwise excellent.

Great service and food with a comfortable night’s sleep. Just double check that your room has a shower, ours only had a bath which was fine but it wouldn’t suit everyone.
