However I was pleasantly surprised at how much space we had. The kitchen is small but very workable and super well stocked. We cooked several meals in and had everything we needed and then some. The dining room was big for game nights, the parlour was a good size for chatting and hanging out. The bedrooms in the main house are very large. The carriage house rooms are smaller but it was nice to have a separate space for people to get away to. Even though the house is so close to the center of town it was still quiet and tranquil. Small improvements could be made like better pillows but the house was very neat and uncluttered and taken care of. The carriage house is just so cute. The owner was so accommodating when the VRBO site was giving me an error message during the booking process and he responded quickly to my messages. It is situated in the idyllic Kennebunkport village. Park the car and never need to drive the whole stay. The linens are gorgeously comfy and the decor is so tasteful and warm.
