STAY AWAY - Bait and Switch
WARNING. Pictures and bookings are misleading. You will most likely not be placed in the cute rooms show on this site and others. Instead you will be placed in the long very old and DANGEROUS and NOT SAFE building along West Norway road. When we arrived there were a bunch of guys drinking outside. Upon checkin they told us we were in this back building. We drove up and in the room next to ours, there was a car with its front tire off and the car resting on its rim. The tire was in the next parking space. Outside the room was a bunch of suit cases, a table and chairs, a little pool for dipping your feet in, and a bunch of stuff that looked like it belongs in an abandoned storage locker. We go into the room and it is DIRTY. There is only the overhead working bright CFL light. The door does not have any safety deadbolt on it. There is no deadlock, just a twist lock. I then checked the window, and the lock does not work - ANYONE can just slide the window open. Throughout the rest of the parking lot were very run down cars. A number of the rooms had stuff outside the rooms. We left immediately. On the plus side - the front desk gave us a refund even though we had booked through this site. FWIW, The "front" hotel - the one in the pictures - looks very nice, safe, and well maintained. The back hotel that you will be put into - is not.

It was a dump wound not stay there again rooms where dirty this hotel is one of those hotels that have people living there will we were there the K9 unite raided the room down from us

Nice, clean room. Firm mattress, good water pressure. Breakfast was disappointing. But I highly recommend Esmerelda's in Monticello! Great breakfast buffet and menu.

Motel, not "resort".
Monticello is a good area, but don't be fooled by the "resort" in the titlebof this place. Its a motel, and a run down cheap one at that. During my stay, people partying and showing off their motorcycles kept the noise level up. Its possible the main building is better?
