Bathtub was clogged. Would not drain. Hair dryer broken. And heat bulb in bathroom didn’t work. Got in late and found out on our early start. Was pressed for time to check out before sunrise so no chance to have rectified. When I informed the front desk at checking out, they just said “OK got it.” That’s it, no “I’m sorry about that” or apology or anything. Also, breakfast should start earlier than 7 since many people head out early.

This was my second stay at Nicky's Resort and it did not disappoint yet again. The River King ("Deluxe" as Expedia refers to it) cabin/room is a very comfortable stay. The instructions for accessing the room and any other necessary info. was communicated efficiently via email. I even called a few days ahead to confirm things and the lady was very helpful and assuring. Lovely stay next to the river and the Wapiti bar/restaurant next door was nice. Good communication from the resort via text and Expedia messaging upon checkout as well.

Unfortunately, the pool was not open- even with 80 plus degree weather. Room was sub-par, with the vents looking like they have never had the ducts cleaned. Activity room has a pool table and ping pong, you can checkout dvds from the office. Per their rules, you have to take out your trash at the end of your stay and run the dishwasher- which tells me they flip the rooms without quality care. Conditioner bottle was completely empty, but not a huge deal. The pictures make it look grand, but its midlevek at best. Another guest spotted mold in their room and previous guest clothes left over, this was not our room but it seems about right. Construction was going on during the stay, so a lot of outside contract workers walking around. Internet was out, and apparently had been for a couple of weeks. Even with all this said, I would stay in a pickle- but this would not be my first choice with all the properties up there.
