Kimpton Ridley is an older home, so you need to be prepared to hear every noise within the main house (rooms 1-9). We were awoken often by loud neighbors coming in at 1:00 am on Thursday night and then again at 6:30 am by people going to the kitchen for the start of their shift every morning. This was by far the worst part of our vacation. I actually sleep with ear plugs, and they did not deaden the noise. The property is also in a loud corner, so be prepared to hear traffic at night.
Besides this, the property was very nice. The room was well appointed with a make up area, refrigerator, large TV(not a smart TV but good to watch the news) and marble bathroom. There seemed to be a towel shortage the whole time we were there. We would get two towels, no face clothes, no shower rug, no hand towels though we did ask for them twice. We would go get a pool towel for back up.
The staff were nice, Craig being the highlight for us. He welcomed us, spoke to us while we sat at the pool, and offered things to do locally. They had afternoon drinks available with a local flavored beer, which we took advantage of twice.
When we checked in, I will say the front office was not easily located, in a renovated garage. No sign on the street side of the garage, and the KR sign was 20 feet away in front of the main house.
There is a nice pool, but only four lounges. We didn’t have a problem getting two on the day we decided to stay, though.
Location was ideal, close to everything.
