“Amazing service and beautiful grounds, but rooms need an update.
The hotel environment is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I also loved how functional and convenient the room amenities were—everything we needed was right there.

“We were not taken care of vis-a-vis check-in. We had to track down the maid to get some answers. We had to get a key from a neighboring restaurant. We tried to call the front desk, we tried to text and ask for the key code to get into our room and nobody ever responded not even after we checked out. Thank God for the maid Susan. The room was shabby: carpet stained, old sink in bathroom weird old shower head. No office to get ice. Still no contact from office. Very unprofessional.”

However, if a property advises that it has a pool, then the pool must be available at least some of the time. Because the property also acted as a health club for locals, the pool was never available for us.

“Our stay at the Pequot Hotel last weekend was exceptional. The front desk team is truly amazing—warm, professional, and very friendly, which set a great tone for our visit.
The hotel has a wonderful, nostalgic feel to it; it’s like staying in your own room at your grandmother’s house. Everything is clean, quaint, and perfectly in its place. We also loved the extra touches, like the fresh-baked cookies in the afternoon.
