It sits on top of a bluff that has an unobstructed view of the ocean. ABOUT SANDCASTLE BLUFF The grand room has huge ceilings with floor to ceiling windows that offer views as far as the eye can see. Not just any old views either, we mean views of those crashing waves you dream of seeing when planning your getaway. There are multiple bedrooms that offer this view as well. Upstairs in the loft, there is a big library where you can kickback, relax and enjoy a nice morning cup of coffee before diving into those seaside adventures. Both of the master suite bedrooms have gorgeous views of the ocean and even the bunk bed upstairs has a view of the water. Most places have the "best" room, but here at Sandcastle Bluff every room is the best room! The open, airy space of this house will make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm. All of the pots, pans, dishes, and flatware are provided for you in order to create the perfect meal for everyone. Enjoy your meal at the table that overlooks the water as well! Right outside on the deck you can enjoy a nice sunny day with a few friends, and with the sandy beach right below you, there's a lot of fun to be had. Drive your car out onto the beach (just a few minutes down the road) and fly a kite, or let the kids play around in the sand. The seaside activities that Moclips has to offer are absolutely endless. There are restaurants and bars just down the road if you don't want to cook. All of which serve locally hand crafted meals to friendly visitors like you! Ocean Shores is a quick drive down the highway if you want to go rent a scooter for the day or check out some of the local shops on the coast. Pick up some souvenirs to take home so you never forget your getaway here! Dogs are welcome with a standard per dog, per night fee. ABOUT MOCLIPS Booking one of our properties in Moclips? In this little community, you'll find an array of seaside activities for you and your friends/family to venture into. Fly a kite in a contest, build a sand sculpture or go sea kayaking. There are numerous nearby state parks that are perfect for hiking, surfing or just an afternoon stroll along the beach. During the Spring and Summer, you'll be able to bird watch or go crabbing. If it's warm enough, take a surfing lesson or go fishing so you can catch something for dinner later! Visiting us during the colder months is perfectly okay too. There are beachside restaurants and museums between Moclips and Ocean Shores that will keep you busy while still being able to enjoy those stunning views. While others know their way around it, we know that booking a rental property home for your vacation can be unfamiliar territory for some. Because we know this, we ensure that each of our properties is up to high-quality standards. We do our absolute best to provide support to our guests when booking. We are available to assist you every day of the year if you have any questions or concerns before, during or after your visit to our home. We have onsite property management available 24/7 for anything concerning that may arise. MANAGED: Property requires good behavior and adherence to instructions, house rules, terms, conditions, onsite instructions, and may require online registration, accidental damage protection, and electronic signature before final booking confirmation, or you may cancel before proceeding at that time. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. The library is amazing. The hot tub is well maintained and appreciated. The house is very accessible with a wheelchair ramp and would be comfortable for all ages. Negatives: the outside areas are in need of attention. The yard, which is crushed rock is filling with weeds and needed mowing. The decking is collapsing in several places and is slippery with moss in some places when wet. Wooden seating on the deck needs pressure washing. The lounge chair cushions and frames are in need of cleaning. Bushes are in need of trimming as they are beginning to obstruct the view. The house itself has plenty of rooms (two very large masters). First impression was good but things started to change as we spent a bit more time there. We had a few issues during our stay that included the following:The kitchen lights kept flickering and the fridge kept shutting off indicating some sort of electrical issue.The laundry room sink was detached from the plumbing and upon use spilled water all over the floor. Upon further inspection I found a container below the sink plumbing indicating that the presence of the leak was already known and not fixed, and I found mold in the cabinet under the sink.The fridge water dispenser was moldy. There was old food on some of the dishes. They had a few light bulbs needing replacing.There's a bow in the decking of the outside back deck.The kitchen sink faucet dripped unless it was shut off just right. Even though it is winter time while we stayed here, there were no outside fires allowed (even with low fire danger).Advertised price was much lower than the actual cost after the added fees. While the location and view were awesome, it seemed like the house was kind of being held together with a bunch of quick fixes and needs some work to be in a good state of working order.
