“Place is clean and just far enough off the highway to reduce any noise from the highway room was excellant and everything was clean and well pt together the only issue is one of the two elevators is down for repair hopefully will be repaired before we return in a couple of weeks”

“Where do I start? Not sure how y’all are giving this place a decent ratting. First off, it should be labeled as false advertising because the pool, hotel and rooms look nothing like the pictures on their website or Expedia’s. Plus it makes it look like a quaint place on the hill but fail to mention there’s a HUGE truck stop that’s directly behind the pool. Reserved a king room for one night and when I checked in the clerk says “ we have a problem. No king size rooms available on 1st floor. Is……

“Breakfast was good lots of a variety to chose from”

“This is a beautiful, historic property with lots of little extras. It's very conveninent to downtown. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It's also a great value for the price.”

“The Surry in is a nice place to stay overnight on our trips from PA to Florida. Everything is older but clean and everything worked.”

“Wonderful area, lots to do & see. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. So very quiet up there, large porch, lots of rocking chairs & a swing. They had a spacious interior(living room & separate dining room), library with puzzles & games. Good Coffee & tea Excellent food! Staff was personable but were careful to give you space. Can't wait to go back!”

“The room was clean, but the air conditioner shut off in the middle of the night and the room got warm. The front desk reception did not tell us what time the continental breakfast opened. When we went to the breakfast in the lobby at 6:25 am....nothing was made or even out....not even hit water for tea. Disappointed.”
