"The property is a collection of buildings. Some have been kept up better than others. Bedding was excellent, extremely clean. The carpet was older and smelled like it. The king bed took up so much of the room it felt a bit crowded. I could not have asked for a more convenient location to the town’s best features."

"The urban cowboy lodge is in a unique, private, and very beautiful location. In the heart of the catskills you are just minutes from several hiking trailheads. The lodge itself is a really awesome, cozy style with an old western type feel but of course modern amenities. The staff were all extremely friendly, and eager to help you enjoy your stay in any way they could. The breakfasts were more than good for free hotel breakfast, and dinner at the hotel resteraunt was truly delicious. Nothing more...

"Be aware: zero food currently offered at the Lodge and none within walking distance. No cookies when you arrive! No wine or beer. No breakfast. So be sure to bring whatever you want with you. No personnel staff the Losge after the cleaning people leave in the afternoon. This is a bit freaky in a lodge without nine rooms. The rooms themselves are comfortable and attractive. "

"I needed a bed, a toilet and a shower. Got that, so I guess you could call this a “vacation rental”. But my biggest concern: There were not 2 points of egress in the room. There was a “skylight” that looked like it was made by someone with zero knowledge of construction. This is ILLEGAL. There was also mold in the shower. They are also not located where they advertise. They sent me the new address the day of, claiming they’re “working with Vrbo” to get it fixed. Sure… Be advised!!"

"The Cobblescote has a wonderful manager, Guenavive, a lovely porch and view. The only opportunity was to update the bedding and mattresses, they were hard and very old. New pillows and comforter with a simple foam mattress insert would have made the sleeping much better and complete a wonderful stay."
