"Serene Shores is the perfect name for this place. As soon as I walked through the door all the packing, driving stress disappeared. So many thoughtful amenities, it was obvious the owners really considered what their guests would need. We all enjoyed the pool, had a hard time getting the 4 and 7 year olds out of it. My favorite things about the pool were the umbrellas on wheeled bases. As a family of redheads, it was wonderful to keep some shade over the pool. The decks let us have a quiet time away from the activities, nice to have that peace when you need it. Loved the beach towels, great to have them provided. I can honestly say this was the most welcoming, relaxing beach vacation I’ve ever had. I could go on and on about this property but I will stop now. Many thanks to Mr. &Mrs. Rana for sharing their home and being the most responsive and responsible owners I have ever dealt with. "
"Our extended family had a wonderful week together in this house. It was the perfect size for our crew of 15 people - we never felt cramped and there was plenty of space for relaxing and dining together on the main floor. The 3 balconies also allowed for plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Each bedroom had a full bathroom which was also excellent!! Note that the bedroom on the main floor has a bunk bed in it/is not exactly a “primary” bedroom (in case you are, like us, planning for a grandparent to use that room. :)) but it was totally fine. We loved the pool and hot tub, which kept us busy in between trips down to the beach! Both were serviced during our visit which ensured they were clean and well taken care of. This was our first time staying on the north side of the island and we greatly enjoyed it. Although it was further to get to Surf City, there is convenient shopping on the mainland in Sneads Ferry. The beach was lovely and not too crowded at all.There were some general upkeep needs with the house, as is common in these vacation rentals. One thing to note is the stairway down to the beach has a section that seems to be temporarily patched and doesn’t have handrails. We ended up buying bags of ice because the fridge ice maker is broken and while there are two table top ice makers, they didn’t make enough for our large crew. Not a huge deal but just to be aware.Kyle was extremely communicative and helpful. We loved our stay and highly recommend to other families!!:)"

"Had a great time. We were 20 of us on a family trip. The hosts Richard & Jenifer were prompt in responding to any questions or concerns. The Air conditioner on the top floor broke down one evening but was fixed the next morning. Overall a good trip."
