We arrived to find two beds in the room instead of a king bed that was booked, they tried to accommodate us by offering to put the beds together the next day, the breakfast was good each day and the discount to go to Mystic mountain was well worth it.
Nice location, beautiful grounds, close to everything, I would recommend it.

Perhaps it is just a matter of expectations, but after reading so many glowing reviews and being familiar with the reputation of the hotel/island, I must say I left after a 5 night stay disappointed. If you are after seclusion and privacy, you will get it. Unfortunately, that also comes with the downside of boredom if by chance you would like a splash of entertainment one evening or to leave the hotel grounds for a bit (there is little else on the island). A tea at 4:00PM and a complementary snack with drinks at 7:00PM are nothing special to remember. In summary, hotel doesn’t offer what charges based on the price. The food was not great and much overpriced for what we received. I made the reservation with the indication of gluten free diet. Chef indicated that some bread will be available. Still, I am waiting for it. Prices indicated taxes and service will be 25%. Only the tax (10%) was itemized in the final bill.
I felt much unsaved. Being a female, I was overcharged for a taxi that was not clearly marked. To go outside the hotel is much an adventure. Hotel does not offer any more than expensive fares. No maps were available to locate places to visit. The room was OK. We found the service not the level of what we paid. You will get what you need but you will need to ask. For this type of hotel, service needs to be improved. The hotel was not busy at all. We asked to fix out room every day before coming back from the beach.
