Windows open all the way, so you can get fresh air very easily. Rooftop bar is a must do at night. Great views. Drinks are a little pricey, but not outrageous. Travel tip, get off water taxi at San Silvestro, not Rialto. Hotel is on the San Silvestro side."

"Location is SUPERB. Steps into St Marco Sq. On a basin which houses Gondolas. You can sit out on the basin and what the Gondoliers at work. So pretty. Staff were fabulous. Lovely bar and bar tender - played blues for me. Breakfast included. We had a basin view room on the corner which was beautiful. Comfy bed and good linen. I have been to Venice many times, and can highly recommend this hotel. Very romantic, old world charm and comfortable. "
