The building is old, falling apart, and needs to be taken down and rebuilt. We had to wait 1 hour for our room to be cleaned when we arrived at 3:30pm. Despite the wait, the room was not well cleaned, we were not left enough both towels, and the a/c was very loud even when turned off! The positives: The front-desk staff are lovely, empathetic and very apologetic even tho they have to deal with many guests complaining and walking out upon seeing the conditions of the rooms. The breakfasts (included) are good, the workout and pool facilities are decent, and it was a quiet location.

So this place used to be Best Western, however it is Mountain Lake Inn at the Flower Lake. Beware there is hardly any view of the mountain or lake from this property. You might catch some glimpses though from some rooms. The front desk staff and manager were extremely helpful to provide an alternative room for us as one of the rooms given to us was utterly dark and damp. There is no elevator and we did not research this before arriving, it was extremely difficult to make multiple trips through the stairwells at 31 weeks of pregnancy. There is no provision for drinking water, you do get complimentary coffee at all times near the front desk. Ice dispensing units are available as well. Breakfast includes Cereals, Milk, Flavored yoghurt, one fruit variety, breads, bagels, butter, jam, juice, tea and coffee. You can also make your own waffle. I booked this place just because I read some reviews about continental breakfast being available. Our experience was just the opposite with breakfast, we were very disappointed. The hotel was very quite and dark and damp overall, washrooms were clean but there was presence of an odor and bad smell continuously, we purchased air freshener sprays for our rooms. The carpets in the hallways and rooms were terribly dirty, you cannot walk barefoot on them they're damp, dirty and sticky. All rooms need big time maintenance. There is plenty of parking but you can easily fall down as the parking spots have big uneven broken surfaces. Be careful!

Our stay was wonderful! The property was just exactly how it was listed. Beds and pillows were of excellent quality. The house was clean and provided everything we needed. The owners communicated with us and attended to our needs. We definitely will be staying there again.
