The home is very quaint and suitable for extended stays. It was clean however, for a five week stay, I feel the owner should have left more cleaning products and supplies. If I didn't travel in an RV to the property, I wouldn't have had my own vacuum cleaner and supplies. Also, prior to my stay, I asked the owner if it was okay to keep our motor home in the driveway. She informed me it was, but come to find out it against Palm Bay ordinances, which resulted in a three hundred dollar storage fee at a facility for the five weeks of our stay. Owners should have been more acquainted with Palm Bay ordinances. All in all, I would recommend this property and would stay again. Very pleasant and no problems.

Just returned from a 3 day stay at the "Rustic Retreat" and found the facility less than expected. The main concern was the almost total lack of routine maintenance on the property. Everything was worn and/or worn out, While the property had been cleaned prior to our arrival, it was obvious that it had not been "Deep Cleaned" in a long while, giving me and my guests a feeling of discomfort. We did do our own cleaning (Dish washing, wiping down furniture and such) but all in all found the facility unsatisfactory. That said, there were a few positives...The pool was clean and warm (I paid for heating, but the pool heat went off a day early)...nonetheless we enjoyed that. The pool deck, yard and surrounding area showed a profound lack of routine maintenance which dampened our enjoyment. The facility was large enough but again, the general clutter made for a level of uncomfortableness. Finally, on items that I found unacceptable, I contacted the management and each item was addressed as requested (albeit it took some time), in any case, I was appreciative of the response i received

The host was very helpful but there were issues the moment we walked through the door. Not enough towels, one roll of toilet paper in each bath for 8 people, alarm system going off, and dishes were dirty. Nothing to wash kitchen items with (sponge) Super kid friendly thankfully. Playpen which was needed was broken. Pool issues but host agreed to refund fee charges for heating as pool company had to come out to fix.

College visit

Property was not in the best condition and needed TLC. The photos were misleading. Broken doors, fencing gate broken, lanai was dirty and screens torn. Sliding glass screen frame broken and bo screen.inside furniture broken, the beds in the two bedrooms unconfortable. Master bedroom was fine. Switchs didnt work for liggt and had to enter and leave in the dark. Pool had dirt in the bottom. Septic smell for pump system and could not sit by the fire. Found dirty laundry under the beds. When i mentioned these things to the host she said she was going ro repair in the spring so she knew they were an issue while renting it out without disclosure.

Stuff, stuff, and more stuff!

We did enjoy our stay at “The Rustic Retreat”. That being said we feel that many things could have been addressed to make our stay better. Fix its: Rusty nail board in fire pit area, broken latches on screen house, broken stove fan on kitchen stove, flood lights in pool area have a short in them, nonfunctional tiki lights. Things that desperately need upgrading: Paint around pool in pool area, new cushions everywhere outside, GAS grill( not charcoal), Little things that would be appreciated by renters: Kleenex available, garbage cans hidden around side of house, more than 1 bathroom hand towel for both baths, hooks for bath towels in bathrooms. Declutterring throughout the entire house. Too much random decor!

Pros and cons

Pros: host was responsive,house was well stocked, pool was warm, beds were clean and comfortable. Cons: house was not clean when we got there. All flat surfaces had to be wiped off. The fans and light fixtures are filthy. As well as all the artificial flowers and there's a lot. The popcorn machine and accessories were full of popcorn and oil. Had not been cleaned in who knows how long. The entire property needs paint and decluttering. Including the yard.

Lots of extras!

Great Location

Close to stores and restaurants. Easy to get to. Lots of room and set up good. Pool is nice. Owner very on top of things if you have an issue. Only downside for us was there are no local stations and news, ABC,CBS or NBC available on the TV to keep up on what is going on nearby or worldwide. Also would like to have a king size bed.

Second Stay at the Rustic Retreat

We enjoyed our second one-month-stay at the Rustic Retreat. The house is spacious enough to have family travel down to visit for a few days. Everyone loved the pool and location, and the available baby equipment came in very handy. As always, Daphne was a wonderful host to work with.

Just as described!

Daphne is a great host! Communication was fantastic! The house was just as we expected and we didn't have any surprises. The home is well kept and clean. The pool looked great and was warm with the pool heat when we arrived. We just stayed two nights...wish we had been able to stay longer and enjoy it. The movie movie was wonderful!!! It was just what we needed after a long day of traveling! Daphne labeled lots in the house which is helpful. We'd recommend continuing that labeling with the light switches. Would definitely stay again!!

Great house for family trip

This house has a great location and is perfect for a family. We all enjoyed the theater room and pool. The house is very clean and equipped with just about anything you might need when you're away from home. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood close to restaurants and shopping. We travel to a nearby doctor for our son at least once a year and our kids have already requested that we book this house on our next trip. Highly recommend!

Nice Family Getaway

This house was a perfect fit for our family. The bedroom set up worked out great and our girls loved being in the same room with their own beds. Everyone had a blast playing in the pool and all the accessories that were available (floats, noodles, etc.) The theater room was perfect for some takeout, snacks, and some wholesome family time. The location itself was easily accessible to food, stores, and only a short drive to the activities we had planned while we stayed.

Nice cozy rustic retreat

Our stay was wonderful... The house is nicely stocked. One of the people on our group disliked the fact that we couldn't watch regular TV but he managed. The pool was great.... Overall we give it a 10.. The host was right on it... Everything we needed she was right there!!!! We will definitely stay again

Relaxing getaway.

Rented this place to attend my niece’s destination wedding near the house. The grandkids had a blast in the pool. Actually we all had a great time. The only thing I suggest is for the master bath toilet seat to be replaced and the pool area deck needs a bit of TLC. Overall, the house was very clean and well equipped and we all enjoyed our stay and commodities. Thank you.

Good Experience

This is my second year staying in this house. We really enjoy the theater seats at the end of a day of outdoor activities. The beds are nice, and the kitchen is well stocked. The appliances are all modern. When the water softener broke, Daphne answered the phone immediately and had a crew replacing it within two hours. By the time we came home that day it was up and running. We will stay here again next year!
