“We stayed here for our niece’s wedding weekend where lodgings were all booked in the area. The host did not inform us about the lack of AC until our day of arrival, when it was too late to cancel without penalty or make alternative arrangements. During the day, indoor temperatures were well above 85°F. Because all bedrooms are on the top floors where heat rises, the warmth was trapped upstairs. Past midnight, indoor temperatures remained at 85°F and above, making it exceptionally difficult to……

“Really cool old house in a nice neighborhood, host was very polite and accommodating and breakfast was delicious every day. In room bathroom and shower was VERY small but my wife and I found it charming. Wished there was a mini fridge in our room, but the window ac unit was appreciated!”

“What a nice experience. We stayed in the Bluebell room which had an enclosed porch and private entrance. It was very clean, cozy and well appointed. The star of the show was Carl's (the owner) gourmet breakfast. It was delicious! Bailey (Carl's daughter and second in command) provided helpful advise. We also loved the location. It was in walking distance of the Botanical Gardens and very close to the Capitol building.”
