The cabin was beautiful and definitely in the woods which we love. Be prepared to engage your 4wheel drive into low in some spots. Be sure and have your errands ran before heading to the cabin. When we got to the cabin we could not get inside. We didn’t know the the keyboard was on the door (never seen a lock so hidden) so we thought the lock box on the railing was where we’d get the key. The code we were given didn’t work. After texting a message to the property manager twice asking for help, we decided to contact a VRBO agent. They serve so helpful and friendly. Finally after 30-40 minutes they got the code to that key box and we were able to get inside. We had been standing in the rain in one spot due to no cell service anywhere else. Then we were told the electricity was out. It’d been nice to have been warned by the host since he knew so we could have brought dinner. We ended up eating ritz crackers for supper. After a bit the electricity came on and we could see. It was 8pm and dark from storms. After the drama of that first night all was perfect. The hot tub is extremely clean and we sat in it for a short time before it started lightning close by. There is a sweet little cat family that comes and lays on the porch. Lots of seating outside on the deck. The host didn’t tell us this useful bit of info until I said it was hard to leave the driveway. The road makes a loop so you don’t have to almost fall off the hill trying to leave. Beautiful house tho
