“I waited until after our stay was over to write this review, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, they only got worse. Calling Beachcomber a “resort” is generous. It’s an outdated property that feels more like an old motel with an ocean view. Our room had a balcony door that wouldn’t close properly, a lamp that flickered like it was about to burn out, and a TV with only a few working channels. Maintenance’s solution? “See? It works.” Customer service was just as disappointing. I asked……

“Great location and amenities, but the staff could have been more helpful and diligent. The first room given to us was not clean. It smelled like BO and urine and the wall thermostat was not working. We were told that there was no vacancy. Then later the front desk Stephanie told us there was another room available but with city view, which should be cheaper than what we paid for and she did not offer price adjustment. We settled for that option and moved all our luggage there. It was already……

“This Hilton hotel fell short of my expectations. The hallway was okay, but it had a dog smell. The beddings were not ironed and also smelled bad. We requested a change of beddings on the second day, but we were unsure if they had reused the same ones since the pillowcases were all crumpled. As a family of four, we were provided with three towels, three washcloths, and one hand towel, which seemed odd. When the housekeeping cleaned the room, she didn’t replace the hand towel on the floor and only……

“I paid for it online through Expedia. Did not know you needed another $1,000 down when you check in. which was unexpected so we couldn’t do what we wanted. paid for amenities and parking but did not use any amenities. And we had to do valet, even though we didn’t NEED it. Very nice property but read and review everything before you pay for it because it was a waste to me!”

“Good price for the proximity of the ocean; however the pillows were horrid, we found a HUGE roach about 2 inches long the last night we were there. The swimming pool was hot and a little murky looking when we first got there. After the storm went through the night before checkout, it looked clear the next morning. The description said they had a place for onsite storage of luggage and then I was told they did not the night before checkout so we left at 11am to go sit at the airport for several……

“The location was excellent with close access to the beach, park, and walkable restaurants. Very clean and nicely decorated. There was a nice courtyard/ green space that was well kept up. Very quiet in the evenings. It was advertised with a queen bed, but there was only a double when we checked in. Still waiting for our damage deposit .”
