Experience the true essence of the Amalfi Coast at this elegant 8-guest home perched on Positano’s scenic upper hillside, about a 15–20-minute walk from the main town center (stairs included). The location offers the perfect balance of peace and convenience: there’s a handy grocery shop on the ground floor of the building, and right across the street, a bus stop connects you to Amalfi, Sorrento and central Positano. The house also features a valuable private parking space, a rare and highly appreciated amenity in Positano, where parking is limited and expensive. Private terrace with view and outdoor tub The highlight of the apartment is the panoramic private terrace, boasting expansive views over the colorful rooftops of Positano and the stunning Bay of Salerno. It’s the perfect spot for alfresco breakfasts or sunset cocktails, and to cool off during hot summer days in the private outdoor tub (not heated, open from April to October). Historic charm meets modern comfort Covering approximately 100 m², the apartment is located on the first floor (20 steps up) and combines authentic architectural features, such as high vaulted ceilings, with tasteful modern furnishings. All rooms are air-conditioned and have large French doors that open directly onto the sea-view terrace. In addition to the main fully equipped kitchen, there is also a small kitchenette located in the hallway near the second bedroom, fitted with a 2-burner electric hob, compact fridge, and microwave. This is a convenient feature for added guest independence or quick snacks and light meals. Very responsive and helpful. The unit is actually two apartments that combine though a common door, but that was not a problem (we used them as bedrooms). The bathrooms have heated floors and the uplights in one bedroom floor were really cool! The view from the bedrooms was amazing. The kitchen was nice and clean and simple. It would have been nice if the kitchen had a few supplies (e.g. olive oil, salt, pepper, etc.) but there are so many restaurants, you might not care. A couple of comfy chairs would have been a nice addition too. Note: the building is right above the main road, so it can be a bit noisy with the windows open (closed it was noticeable, but not a problem). The hot tub should be dubbed a “warm tub” as it didn’t get above 28.5C…but on a hot day, not a problem. I chose the house because of the hot tub. It is the primary marketing photo, so I assume it is a big selling point for most people. The management company was responsive about the a/c and but it took two separate repair visits to fix the a/c. The air outside was cool in the evenings, but the house is next to a busy road which is very loud. I requested a discount due to the problems and they told me a 10 discount is the max they can provide.
