Just 8 miles across the English/Welsh boarder takes you deep into the Welsh countryside, surrounded by the Radnor Forest, steeped in history, myths and miles upon miles of paths to walk, cycle or trek. We spent the weekend there and had enough wood, milk even though we brought our own bits and pieces. Phone signal is poor but a short walk away from the hut you can easily get service and stretch your legs. Laura provided all of the information we needed and we just had the most relaxing and perfect time. We’d definitely say to remember to bring some mosquito spray or cream as we did get visitors but what a place this is! We played Scrabble at the table outside with the fire pit burning on our final night and we found it so peaceful. The white bed linen on a very comfortable and ample size bed is a wonderful place to lie quietly watching and hearing the world go by. Central Heating and shower so efficient and luxurious that being in a tiny home for a few day help me realise how little I actually need and was a great get away to relax and reassess what's important. What an incredible location! The shepherds hut was bigger than we imagined and had everything you could possibly need. We were looking for somehwere secluded and this was prefect for us and our dogs. The property is the cutest thing I've ever seen and I was very surprised by the size of the property there was plenty of space for my partner and I and our little fur baby. We had the pleasure of watching the host round up the sheep in the morning with the dogs. The grounds are beautiful!! We enjoyed the fire pit every night and enjoyed bbqs. Its very private and even though the house is only a 1 minute walk away it felt like we had our own little farm land for a couple of days. Laura was a great host if we needed anything it was always provided. We were very very sad to leave but are already looking to plan our return visit. I would highly recommend if you need some time to escape and be with nature.
