Could not stay if was so badPosted Oct 10, 2017
Upon entering the room we were met with cobwebs. The room was filled with bugs and & duct tape holding up wires. Disgusting place.
Red Carpet Inn - Not a Misnomer!Posted Aug 30, 2017 on Hotels
Well, a friend and I gambled on a bargain when attending an event at Turningstone. The good news is we didn't get robbed or murdered. The only other good news was my friend and I didn't have to split a bed. The hotel itself is tucked off the main road and out of site, yet adjacent to a gravel yard; seemingly perfect for burying a random hotel guest. When we walked into the "lobby" we took note of the inch-thick bulletproof glass between us and (presumably) the owner/lone employee. The man denied my Hotels.com entry for a two king bed hotel room, stating I could have one king. After some back and forth, I explained that I did not care about the size of the bed, just the amount. We were handed a white plastic card with Sharpie written on it, it was apparently our room key. We matched our key to the door, which was marked handwritten in sharpie on red duct tape. Yes, the door. Inside, the ceiling seemed to be collapsing a bit. The carpet was a literal Red Carpet, amongst other stains and some fresh looking cigarette burns. The walls were a few different colours, with decor and colours reminiscent of an era in which I did not live. The bathroom toilet had actual urine on the toilet seat. It had to be. I do not jest. Aside from the actual room, Uber worked with a minor issue in that the hotel shows up as a half mile down the road in some brush - not something your driver wants to see. One advantage to the location is a Domino's in-range for delivery.

Rude owner. Instead of queen size bed I got room with one twin bed and space for another one. In the next room somebody listen really loud music and it was almost 11pm when we checked in. On my complaints I was told that this is only room I could get (but I saw not more than 10 cars near building). About noisy neighbours I should call to police by myself, he won't do anything. And at the end he added: leave my hotel if you don't like what I gave. So I did it ;)

I've never stayed in a hotel which is simply cinderblocks. And since when are outlets a foot below the ceiling?
