Drove from a film shoot in Canberra and was greeted with Brian one of the owners. A charming man. The room was very clean and big; bed was big and just comfortable; and the towels so big and fluffy. Brian gave as all the inside info on where to eat (his judgment was spot on). I travel the world in my work staying in mostly five star hotels, but the Rutherglen Motion Inn was a treat. The aircon was already on for us on a very hot day. Water and brewed coffee was available and free. The room was large with a comfortable bed and two large leather armchairs. What an amazing little gem! Proprietors were fun, knowledgeable and interesting. They had even turned on the aircon prior to our arrival. Room was spacious, with added little touches making it more homely (eg. a cheeseboard and knife) and real, glass wine glasses. Proper milk, not long-life rubbish. Most enjoyable.
