“The hotel is okay, most of the natural beauty around it makes it look a lot better. There is no AC so be prepared to be warm during the day. Our room was over an hour and a half late and we were not compensated whatsoever even though we were waiting for them. It's time for isn't overly attentive and the wait time for the food is definitely not worth it. ”

“We had the most amazing stay at this property! The hotel was insanely beautiful and very well kept. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and accommodated every request we had. Truly have never been so impressed by a hotel. 1000% recommend staying here if you are traveling to Lake Atitlan/San Marcos. They can even help arrange private transfers for you to eliminate stress. “El Picnic was a truly special place to stay on Lake Atitlán. The hosts are wonderful and make the experience along with the beautiful setting. Gabi went above and beyond, from helping coordinate transportation before our arrival to suggesting and arranging unique local experiences during our stay. One of her recommendations, a bird-watching hike, ended up being a highlight of our trip (we even saw a quetzal!). Alexis connected with us through WhatsApp to make communication easier and answer any questions we had. The internet was essentially unusable during my stay. For a hotel at this price level, reliable internet should be basic. I had work to do and could not connect. “Really hard to arrive if you drive because it's far”

“Stunning views, but fundamental service failures and absent management. While Sababa Resort looks beautiful in photos, my actual experience was far from a 'resort' stay. We were left without water from 12:45 pm until 11:30 pm. Not being able to use basic bathroom services for nearly 11 hours is unacceptable at this price point.
