“This part of our journey through Guatemala was to stay at this hotel and relax, and we did just that. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, but be prepared to climb stairs and steep inclines but not to worry, they are very accommodating with the one golf cart they have for the guests. “The place is really great. They have an extensive collection of antiques and art that is very unique and special. They have certain details that make the stay very special. Usually in expedia when you get charged online everything you must pay is included but when we got there we were informed our pet had to pay an extra $ 25.00. “The rooms were very clean, everything is well organized. Johan and Gaby are huge huge huge help in everything you need there. They are hands on, and very attentive. Neighborhood is safe, views are amazing and the food was delicious. Dinner there is fun and easy. The breakfast with the view is so cool. I recommend 100%. Stray dogs bark randomly at night for about 10 mins and usually calm down but it could wake you up.”

Alexis connected with us through WhatsApp to make communication easier and answer any questions we had. It took us quite awhile to reach Lake Atitlan due to traffic but we were able to take a water taxi to the hotel from Panajachel. The complex was quite difficult to find even with the provided instructions, we only found it because a local showed us the route. The area has a lot of construction so it is quite loud during the day. The balcony was not used as we had hoped because the drilling was constant all day. Also it would be nice if the balcony had seating. The staff are very quick to respond which was helpful because the toilet did not work……
