Beachgoers will love being a mile from Black Point Beach. Drive a scenic eight miles north on Highway 1 to enjoy Sea Ranch Golf Links with its local Scottish-style golf course. Hit nearby Shell Beach to check out the tide pools and the unique landscape with rugged ocean bluffs, then take your dog for a walk on Bluff Trail. Porch off of kitchen great for morning and afternoon. Sunsets from house spectacular. The kitchen needs a little upgrading and the laundry vent out back needs cleaning, lint everywhere. The faucet in the master bath was difficult to torn on and impostor turn off and as I result I had to use the downstairs bathroom.No wood was provided for the advertised fireplace.As a VRBO owner for five years I was disappointed by these problems and inconveniences with this house. Our girls (3 and 5) were so excited to listen to all the records made available by the owner. They had various games, puzzles, and so many books to choose from. Most of the books were math and computer programs books which gave us a laugh but my 5 year old made it her mission to search for kids books in the stacks of 100s! She found a few! Our dog came and we were surprised to find a backyard too! They did there best to fill all the nooks and cracks with netting but we were too scared to leave her back there alone. The beds were very comfortable and the towels and linens were lovely. We had fun with the record player too (blast from the past)! We did have a few relatively minor issues, however. The biggest problem was that the downstairs shower is broken, requiring holding the shower head in one's hand while showering. Although the glasses and plates were clean, many of the pots were dirty. One of the skillets was actually covered in egg residue. There was only a single, used sponge left in the kitchen for us to wash dishes with (eww!) and there was minimal extra toilet paper. Finally, I e-mailed the property manager twice in the week before our stay to ask if I could check in one hour early and they never got back to me, which was kind of exasperating... It’s nestled in the trees of quiet, beautiful Sea Ranch. View of the ocean from every single west facing window. Amazing updated kitchen with literally everything you need to make a nice meal and more (we brought some things from home that were not needed). The beds are WONDERFUL, everyone from our group commented on how cozy they were, I was in the master and I literally took photos of the pillow tags so I could buy them for myself. The master also has a jetted tub which was very relaxing to soak in on a cool evening. Wi-Fi and TV available for the times when we just wanted to relax and do nothing, but the beaches nearby superceded any need for indoor activities. Highly recommend pebble beach, 2 fresh waterfalls and very private, perfect place for a picnic and about a 5 min drive from the property. Cafe nearby has fantastic quick breakfast items, and espresso drinks, I ordered a mocha and a ham & cheese croissant and they were both out of this world. The home has a wood burning stove, which was a nice feature. Plenty of wood stocked to get a fire going on cold nights. In terms of feedback for improvement, I can’t say much. The only odd thing we ran into was the power went out for about an hour on our first night, but this was certainly not to the fault of anyone, just a fluke, and it didn’t really impact our stay at all.
