Nice, Clean, Cozy Cabin

Enjoyed our family spring break vacation at Timber Toy. Location is nice with a very nice view of a horse farm below. Nice wrap around deck to enjoy your morning coffee & watch the horses & listen to the birds. For a mountain cabin, the location isn't bad, road wise. The driveway is a little tricky... it's a "hairpin" turn to enter the driveway but if you swing real wide, it's no problem at all. It does get steep 1/2 up (not far at all) as you have to branch off to the right to the cabin. (There's another cabin to the left sits below Timber Toy). The cabin itself is as pictured. Nice and roomy with a large loft bedroom w/couch & a main floor bedroom. The electric fireplace was nice our 1st night there as it was 16° when we arrived & they just got a little snow. It was nice & clean. I saw 1 review complaining of the toilets & bathroom "dirty". However, what we found was that the toilet bowl & tub wasn't "dirty" but rather stained from the rust & possibly sulfer, in the water. Our only disappointment was that the theater room did not work. No matter what we did to try & figure it out, the projector for the big screen would not illuminate to show anything. (Blue light would come on signifying power, but nothing else). Don't know if the light bulb was burned out or what. Also the Play Station would not work either as it's all connected to the same system. There are no instructions for use of the projector either, which would have been a HUGE help. We were looking forward to using the theater roo too. Oh well. Overall, a very nice cabin.

Very dirty, horrible communication skills

My husband and I booked Timber Toy for our 1 week vacation. Upon arrival, we noticed the only tv in the house was not working, due to satellite issues. We called Cabins For You to let them know, and they said someone would be out within 24 hours to fix it. We then went to dinner and when we came back, we realized how dirty the cabin was. Dust on the ceiling fan that was so thick that it fell off in sections, dirt on the floor, a yellow stained shower curtain, stained toilets, used masks under the bed, dust on the tv stand/tv, and broken kitchen chairs. We called to let them know that we needed someone to come clean, and they said someone will be there that night. No one ever showed. I called the next day, and they told me the same thing. Still, n one shower and our cable still wasn’t fixed. I called them for the whole 2 days that I was in that cabin, until I got sick of it the 3rd morning and demanded that we be moved. Katie was amazing and helped out so much. She moved us to another cabin and then informed us we would then have to move again after 2 days to another cabin. That was no problem. The cabins were beautiful and clean. I received an email confirming the reservations and in those emails, it stated my card was charged $600 for the 2nd cabin and almost $1,000 for the 3rd. I told Katie I did not authorize anyone to charge my card, and she explained that it would not be charged and it was just a confirmation that they have to send like that. We stayed in our 2nd cabin and then the morning that we were leaving, we realized Cabins For You did in fact take that money and drain our account. After numerous emails and calls and their ridiculous wait time, we spoke with Nicole and she stated it was a “glitch” and the money would be refined in 5-7 business days. Cabins For You literally ruined our vacation. From all the time that I spent contacting them, to them draining our bank account, they ruined it. That’s ok though, because they “made it all better” by giving us $250 towards our next booking and a $250 E-Visa Card. This company was horrible when it came to fixing their own issues.
