“I loved this place. When I go to England, I enjoy these smaller, transformed hotels much more than bigger ones and Hand and Spear has been the best. The room I got was spacious with ample wardrobe space and beautiful decor. The bath was insane with a beautiful claw foot tub. I’m very self-sufficient when I travel so I don’t expect a room made up each day but I’m sure they would accommodate you and they quickly brought extra towels when I asked.
The thing is…my room had food and a little fridge……

“The room was a good size and spotless, however, the walls are very thin and I was kept awake until 2am by two men talking moderately loudly in the room behind my room. Furthermore, the mattress Ned’s changing as it has two long depressions where occupants lay and a high ridge running the length of the bed. The tv was claimed to be ‘smart’ but was really dump, it struggled to get BBC1 and no streaming services were available. Very disappointing.”

“Although front desk services was a little bit long, overall score is very good.
The hotel is a historical building and maintenance was good. My room is on the same floor near the reception counter and was clean and very spacious. The green and leafy environment makes you feel very relax and enjoy.
There's Supermarket 15-30 minutes walk away. You can shop at Walton by taking a 461 bus for around 10mins distances. Clarks, H&M...,,, not so big but worth to visit.”
