Love it! This was my second time staying at the TA Ranch. Unlike most Dude Ranches that require at least a three day stay, the TA Ranch is more accommodating and you can even stay there just one night, yet still get the dude ranch experience with horseback riding and being in the country. I rated this excellent because it is an experience more than just a motel stay. Historic, yes, but not habitable. Bathrooms and rooms are run down and dirty, there is no internet connection, no TV, no air conditioning, but mismatched furniture and crabby blinds. Food is limited to variations of egg in the morning, cook looks annoyed and overall staff is quite unfriendly and seems to have no desire to receive guests at all. The only exception is the old owner who runs the place alone in the morning and has a knowledge of history to be admired. Too bad, the place would have had potential with that location! If you want to get away from City life this is the place. Everyone is so accommodating, friendly and nice. There's goats, horse's, cows feels like you live here when you are here. The Ladies who own and run the Ranch are great. We stayed in the Bunk house which was warm, sunny, clean, comfortable. There is a restaurant with full wine/cocktails available. The meals are "home cooked" We had Steak, Lamb chops, corn on the cob, scalloped potatoes and salad for dinner. Breakfast comes with the room different daily we had French toast, fresh cantaloupe, bacon, juice and coffee.
