“Butler House speaks of itself: a house with the amazing management of a great butler - the result of the dedication of the owner, Paul and his wife. Paul was so friendly and though he was always busy at the breakfast room, he always checked if we needed help Our room was spacious, clean and tidy and offered everything we need.The kitchen is big and we enjoyed cooking there. I used their washing machine and dryer and detergent and softener were available. Highly recommended for couples……

“We are currently on a 5,000 mile road trip through New England- a ‘bucket list’ trip we’ve been planning for years- with lodging varying from Wyndham to Hilton’s and others in between. When we found this resort on Expedia, we happily booked a room. To be completely honest, this was the most anticipated stop of our trip. Then we found out the hot air balloons would be there the same weekend and it made it that much more exciting… until we got there. The whole facility was very run down. The roads……

“Would highly recommend AWOL. Excellent location walkable from the village, but also far enough to feel like you are in your own retreat. We stayed in the lodge and the room was very nice—good bed, TV, bathroom, amenities. The breakfast is terriific and much better than the standard free continental breakfast. It was rainy so didn’t use the hot tubs, hammock, etc. but it was all there.”
