Overall , the hotel wasnt bad for Springfield, il. Bed was comfortable, room was clean , heat worked ok , they provided parking since it was the weekend so no extra charge .checking in was easy . Went to see Jeff Dunham at BOS center across the street . About 2 am got woke up because it was really windy outside and the building was shifting and swaying some and it sounded like very loud spring in our room . Could hear the whole building just creaking and whatever support system they have was really loud . Kept sounding like a spring would strech out and then go back into place . Didnt get much sleep . I was on the 10th floor , so i could imagine how people on 20th and 30th floor felt . If it wasnt for that noise of the building cause of wind , would of been perfect , i dont think ill stay here again . Was kind of creepy hearing that giant spring or whatever it was , sounded like it needed some kind of grease or lubricant on it . Stayed in other buildings similar to it and even with wind , you couldnt hear a sound like a giant spring pulling and then retracting . For the price i should of slept better . Next time ill be using the President Abraham Lincoln hotel across the street . Overall it was a nice hotel , with very friendly staff . I know they can not control how it was built but hopefully the place is getting inspected right . I just kept thinking of the skyscraper building in miami when it collapsed lol.
