Just a short visit

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Price
Cons: Rooms and bathrooms need remodeling
Location: Very convenient to I70!
I choose the room primarily because of the price. I just needed a few hours of sleep. Bed and sheets were clean and comfortable and I did sleep well. I arrived after midnight, and the office seemed closed but they answered the bell after a couple rings. Very nice lady and was expedient in getting my checkin arranged The only issue is the hotel is really old and it showed in every detail. Room was smelly from the years of smokers in the room Net net clean comfy bed and I got a hot shower too.

Hotel from Hell

Posted Apr 5, 2011
This was the worst place that we have ever stayed! The rooms were small and about 1950s era furnished. The walls were paper thin you could here everyting going on in the room next door. My wife could not sit in the one chair provided because of the stains on the seat. You could see daylight through the bottom of the door because of the half inch gap. This is a door to the outside. The ad said continental breakfast. They had coffee and tea and two toasters ( with not toast)!!! When we asked about breakfast they said we would have to go the resturant next door. That they had no breakfast.!!!

Affordable stay near the mountain

Posted Feb 22, 2011
Overall my experience at the 1st Inn was very good. Close proximity to Copper Mountain and great food (The Mint - right next door) made this stay very enjoyable. My only complaint was a stain on one of the bed sheets. I discovered it towards the end of my stay as it was on the bed lining on the corner of the bed. It was well...gross. I'm sure they would have changed it if I asked. Staff was very nice and even let me in late at night when I locked myself out of my room. Thanks 1st Inn! Clean your sheets.

Pay more somewhere else...it's worth it!

This place is the cheapest in summit county for a reason. The rooms are disgusting, tiny, and have a weird smell. I would definitely pay 10 bucks more to stay somewhere else with a clean room! (and a hot tub:)

picked it because it was cheap, but this was the biggest dump I have ever stayed in, it should be a lot cheaper for what it is
