Nice hotel in the mountains!

Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and roomy. All the amenities were available.
Cons: I can't think of anything, especially for the rates that they have.
Location: Great view of the mountains, about a mile or so outside of Main street Breckenridge!
I enjoyed my stay at the Wayside Inn in Breckenridge! The room was very comfortable and it was an overall relaxing atmosphere. Nice hot tub too! I recommend the Wayside in for anyone looking for quiet, quaint, comfortable and affordable accommodations in the beautiful mountains of Breckenridge, CO!

Not as pictured.

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: The beds were comfortable.
Cons: See above. Drop the implied threat, (credit card), esp. for older people. This is a motel, not a dorm room!
Location: Far north side of Breckenridge, CO. Not as anticipated from the picture.
While the beds were comfortable the bathroom was a joke and best suited to quite small people. A normal sized person was best accomodated by sitting sideways on the toilet. The owner demanded a copy of my credit card even though I'd paid thru' Expedia "in case I (76 yrs. old) destroyed the room". When I went to ask her to take pictures of the room before we left at 7:25 am I found the office closed until 8. The key drop box was open so anyone could have picked up the key and trashed the room after I left. There was no phone, the room had a heat register but NO furnace control so the night was a pretty chilly one. No ice container, no niceties, no screens so the windows couldn't be left open during the warmer part of the day and the door fit like the log cabin I assume this room was supposed to be. Definitely bare-bones accomodations but too expensive for bare-bones.

Simple, clean and comfortable

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, good value, clean.
Cons: Guest control over room temperature--air conditioner or fan and control over the heater.
Location: In the summer--biking and hiking trails really close. Gondola on Breck ski hill is free in the summer. Skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
I stayed for two nights in early August with my dogs. Staff was friendly and helpful with information about the area, and my room was clean. No frills, but a good deal for the area, and I was comfortable and felt safe. Expedia told me the pet charge was a flat rate, not based on number, but when I got there, the fee is assessed per dog--not a big surprise as that is the norm, but I wished Expedia hadn't told me differently. The room did not have air conditioning, which wasn't a problem at the time I was there, but a fan would have been nice. Overall, I was quite happy with the value. If going in the summer, consider bringing a fan if possible, but I would definitely recommend.

Roadtrip

Posted Aug 9, 2015
The staff was very helpful answering questions, giving directions and just being friendly. The beds were comfortable. The room felt stuffy, needed more airing out? The shower was very small. Overall, I liked the room It was good for the price. I would stay there again.

Just the basics please.

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: The rooms got warm (78 F) in the afternoon. I had to open the door and window to cool down the room in the evening. A simple window fan would help.
Location: I walked to the free shuttle and rode to Breckenridge and back each night. I rode my bike on many trails between Frisco, Silverthorn & Breckenridge.
I was in Summit county to do things, not stay in my room. This was a good fit for me. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable. The people running the place were nice and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay at the wayside inn and in summit county. I was pleased with the free shuttle buses that I took to and from Breckenridge. Lots of options to ride road & mountain bikes.

Nice affordable hotel

The Wayside Inn was perfect! We spent our 4th anniversary here! Nothing fancy, but looked newly remodeled and was clean and quaint. Fully enjoyed only paying $100 with tax and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet stay.

Wayside Inn

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Price and location
Great location just outside of Breckenridge. Room was clean and tastefully decorated. Bed was comfortable. Shower was a bit cramped and more suitable for someone 6' tall.

Clean, simple motel in peaceful location

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: The location was perfect, right in-between Frisco and Breckenridge and close to the awesome bike paths of Summit county.
Cons: The door did not stay closed unless the deadbolt was locked. Daylight showed underneath the door. They might consider replacing the doors and locks.
Location: Breckenridge ski area is only a couple miles south of the hotel. Frisco and Lake Dillon a few miles north. Lots of restaurants and plenty to do!
My husband and I really enjoyed our two night stay at this motel. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable and we relaxed in their hot tub. They serve coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning. Our TV setting was goofed up and the owner came down to our room immediately to reset it for us.
