"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Porto Azzuro at the end of June. The hotel is beautifully maintained and run extremely well. Staff were very friendly and helpful, always happy to help. Service at reception and the bar was always good with a wide selection of drinks, cocktails, fancy ice creams, snacks and meals. We had a double with balcony room on the third floor facing the garden/road. We never heard any noise, the room was super quiet. Bed was comfy enough.The room itself was quite spacious, good wardrobe space. No drawers apart from one bedside drawer. The bathroom was big and very clean and fairly modern. One criticism is the size of the shower cubicle, it was very small and the shower was totally in the wrong place. There wasn't much room behind so I frequently hit my arms on the cubicle sides! A few other things that need to be added to the rooms - a glass for toothbrush/toothpaste, there were paper cups - very odd! A bin in the room is needed. We struggled with the tiny bathroom bin. Also tissues, we bought our own from the local supermarket. Breakfast was fantastic, so much to choose from and beautifully presented. I couldn't fault it! The staff are lovely too. The swimming pool is a really good size and a massive bonus for our stay as it was 37Ā° and we needed it. The sunbeds are looking tired and a bit grubby and a lot of the parasols were no longer working. But the pool and pool area are well maintained. The bus stop to go into Sirmione is opposite the hotel."
