“There was a very intense snow storm on the day I was to arrive. So, Stephanie, from this Best Western motel, personally called to inform me of the dire driving conditions and of the limited staff and services that would be available, should I decide to come. Her proactive, safety minded information helped me decide that I should cancel my trip up north. She also took care of cancelling my reservation. Stephanie seems to be a truly caring and kind person who goes out of her way to serve and……

“We had such an amazing time at Cabins on Maple River. The cabin and property are absolutely stunning. The balcony over looking the river was so relaxing and peaceful. We did have a few very minor issues like the front bedroom bathroom sink was very clogged up but in a half hour i had it pkungered out and draining fine. The lights in the upstairs hallway were burned out so i bought some new ones and took care of that. Someone staying before us unpaired the remote for the back bedroom took a while……

“Missed a TV in our room but the lounge was across the hall and convenient - just not in my jammies. The heat in our room was way out of whack! 75 degrees at one point and had to open both windows with winter conditions. Heard another couple had same experience. Hot tub was nice - bit awkward to enter, but enjoyed. Would have loved to experience the fireplace but who needed MORE heat! All in all it was a great opportunity to experience The Stafford for our anniversary.”

“Room was very clean and the staff was quite responsive to our questions/needs. It's an older, nostalgic, roadside inn. The motel does show it's age but served our needs for a close room to sleep in near an event we participated in. New owners are doing some work to fix it up. ”

“No heat controls in room. They only turn it on if you complain.The outside of the hotel is covered spiderwebs and it’s filthy.Everything is neglected.This place is a joke.”
