“Hotel is undergoing renovations. Room had an awful smell of paint. After airing out it was fine. Side door into hotel was broken, no elevator. Halls lined with paper from renovations and drywall mud spilled all over the hallway floors. ”

“Room was very clean and the staff was quite responsive to our questions/needs. It's an older, nostalgic, roadside inn. The motel does show it's age but served our needs for a close room to sleep in near an event we participated in. New owners are doing some work to fix it up. ”

“A very pleasant surprise. This is a very 'value-centric' place to lay your head. Very clean, accommodating check in process, Close to all needed stuff (food, gas, etc). Proximity to Burt Lake State Park is great! It is a bit noisy in the morning due to existing on a main road - not the Owners' fault. Not disappointed in the least. ”

“Staff is very friendly and helpful. Property is well kept but parking is insufficient to handle the number of guests' vehicles. Breakfast is continental but is complete enough to be a good full breakfast. We wish the bedroom had a door on it for privacy from the other living/sleeping area. We hear all the suites on site are that way.”

Sunsets are spectacular and there are amenities like free bikes to enjoy the nearby areas for walking and riding. The staff is friendly and committed to making your stay enjoyable. We appreciated the complimentary Happy Hour from 4-6 and the breakfast menu offered. Location is fantastic for exploring the vibrant communities of Petosky, Bay View, Harbor Springs and Charlevoix. ……
