“This place was good but the rooms were blah and cheap”

“1. The valet parking fills up very fast. You have nowhere to park while checking in or out 2. One of the elevators was broken. 3. My toilet was not secured to the floor. 4. There was no house keeping for my room. I left @ 10AM and returned at 4PM. 5. Checkout was stalled by one person. The manager finally came out to take my key.”

“I stayed at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott from 5/20/26-5/22/26. I was attending a Women’s Conference at the Hilton one block away. I was checked in with a smile by Felecia who gave me info on different restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room was clean, and comfortable with an amazing view of the river. My only complaint was that the WiFi server was not functioning properly to watch any TV and the stopper in the bathroom sink wasn’t functioning well at all but I made do. The staff……

“The staff members are very friendly, and the room was clean. However, it definitely looks dated and is in need of renovation. At breakfast, they need more staff and should make some changes to the setup to make it more efficient—specifically so that guests don't have to wait so long just to make a waffle.”
