“Quirky but lovely hotel and restaurant in beautiful rural Devon. Food was amazing & bed was so comfortable! Best sleep for ages! If you like older not-so-modern hotels that pride themselves on service this is for you..”

“The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat……

“A great hotel with an amazing view right on the South Sands beach . Quite a distance from Salcombe if you are walking and the roads around the area are very narrow ( single track) and steep. We used the ferry to get to Salcombe although it only runs until late afternoon and costs £5.50 each way . The food was good and quite reasonably priced. The decor at the hotel was a little tired . Lots of dogs were in residence and were made very welcome. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Overall……

“What a beautiful day this was. The views from the Inn are stunning. I was welcomed by Kevin (the owner) on arrival. I enjoyed a fabulous home-cooked styled curry for dinner (a must have if you are there for curry night). The rooms are clean and nicely set up. Both Kevin and Suzanne are superb hosts. Looking for a great place to stay this is it. I look forward to my return.”

“Newly built hotel with modern very clean design. Rooms with sea view have a spectacular view. Great location on bus route around Torbay. Breakfast and dinner of good standard. Staff are very efficient, attentive and pleasant. One thing to note is the £15 per day car parking fee.”

“The stay was good. The pub was clean, the staff really friendly and the food was good too. But I'm not sure about putting guests in the top floor rooms with only a fan! The rooms were unbearably hot. The fan did nothing and the only time the room cooled was the early hours of the morning. Not good!”

“No lift to rooms, only a mature female was available, she offered to take luggage. No fridge in the room and no iron in the room. Had to carry iron and ironing board from reception to the bedroom. Not a great choice for vegetarians.”

“james very friendly, check in was very fast and clear, and provided breakfast ,room was very clean and bed very comfortable, bathroom looked new and like have been refurbished, room furnished with the ingenuity of the owner, it’s great location to stay ,few minutes walk to near the sea , highly recommend staying here. and very quiet at night!”

“Beautiful position at base of Haytor Rocks. Parking easy and plenty of room inside and outside no matter what the weather. Staff great. Would recommend try and book with breakfast included. Likely to be a better deal. It is a shame the hotel has yet to install an electric charging point. There is one at an adjacent tourist facility but out or order. Other than that great!”

“Checked out on arrival as the room had no air conditioning and the temperature of the room was at least 45 degrees, we were offered a fan but this would not have helped. The room was also really small, with an unpleasant smell but it was nicely furnished.Requested another room as apparently some rooms do have a.c. (The hallway leading to the room was a pleasant temperature) we were told they were fully booked (although Trivago showed 3 rooms available when we looked for somewhere else)……

“Parking was easy and safe. Location of the property was perfect both for accessing Dartmoor and wildlife spotting (lots of unusual birds in the grounds). Staying at Two Bridges was a treat; it is a unique hotel and has an amazing history”

“Had a lovely night away. Room was clean and nice to have a fridge with fresh milk for coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Outside areas are great for relaxing and nice to have an outside pool. In a quiet area but within walking distance to the beach, train station and town. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend. Thank you. ”
