Loved our Stay

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay in Gatlinburg. This rental is amazing and perfect for a couple. The views from the balconies are stunning and we could not have picked a better time to visit the area. The dog wood tree off the deck was in full bloom and so pretty to look at. We enjoyed mornings with our coffee and evenings with a after 5:00 cocktail. Everything in the cabin was perfect and we didn’t lack for anything. I fell in love with the red recliner and didn’t share it with my husband. The downstairs bedroom is very large with a sitting area with tv and the sliding door took you outside to catch a fresh breath of the mountain air. The master bath is large with a very huge shower that could fit many people. We used the hot tub on the lower deck and the peaceful evening is just what we needed. The cabin is very close to the Main Street in Gatlinburg. There are winding roads to get to the cabin so it’s more tricky at night. Just drive slow. The driveway is steep but not hard to manage. I can’t say enough about this place. It was everything we needed to unwind and relax. Definitely will be coming back to visit Gatlinburg and hopefully get to stay here again.

Gatlinburg Cabin on the Mountain

This was our first trip to Gatlinburg. Driving the mountain roads was a bit intimidating at first, but we got used to it. The cabin was great, the view was nice, and we were greeted by a bear coming down the hill when we pulled in (got back in the car until it passed right in front of us). Note that everything in on a hill, so there is extra maneuvering to park, etc., but it works fine. We drove our Bronco but saw larger vehicles. A couple suggestions: 1. Make sure you have your own soap and shampoo. 2. We were on a 10-day trip so I brought extra toilet paper and paper towels. We were only here for two nights so it wasn't needed, but if you are staying longer I would bring an extra roll. 3. This is two-story with the master on the bottom floor. The layout was nice, and you have access to a hot tub out the bottom back door from the bathroom. 4. If you are downstairs you can hear someone walking around upstairs. It will take extra effort if you are trying to be quiet for someone sleeping. I submitted the following suggestions to management for this cabin: 1. Replace the curtain over the downstair sliding glass door with something light blocking, and that covers the whole door more. 2. There are three pretty, small square decorative windows downstairs. They also let in light at night. 3. Add hooks, or similar, in the bathroom downstairs for clothes or towels. We didn't have any issues - these are just some minor tweaks we noted. We would rent here again.

Mountain cabin

We chose this spot as a last minute adventure on our 7 week trip around the Eastern US. I could’ve stayed the entire 7 weeks in this cabin.Loved it!!!!!

Nice place in the mountains

Enjoyed uor stay, bedroom is in lower level so as others have said, will need to climb stairs, we were there in june so no issues getting to and from the place, but there are some steep hills getting there, one side of the driveway made my Honda Civic "bottom out", just adjusted my angle in and out, did see a bear walking around the car and the nearby house, house is very nice, there is no view to Gatlinburg as the title states, but it is a very warm comfortable house with outside decks

Issues

Huge tear/hole in frequently used sliding screen door in dining room. According to prior occupants in the home from the book in the living room, that screen door has been like that since August of 2024. The grout in the shower downstairs was really bad in many areas. Vinegar will do wonders. Please consider it. The sliding screen door downstairs was so difficult to open/close we simply did not use it after our first attempt. There was no working light above the kitchen sink. However, there was some mangled looking wire configuration with black electrical tape underneath the cabinets to the left and right of the sink. The toilets were clean, thankfully. Also, a large number of the patio deck boards were in very poor condition and the grill was so dirty we chose not to use it at all. The tall pub table and chairs were very unstable/loose. Not a place we would choose again.

Place rocks

I'd like to tell everyone that this property sucks and to never ever book it just so that is always available to me and the wife whenever we want it. We stay a lot in the Gatlinburg area and have used quite a number of properties. Most of them we have been really happy with but this one is the one we will be staying at from now on. It's close proximity to the quiet end of Gatlinburg, the fairly isolated location... we absolutely love this place.

Nature and Wildlife Phographers

We enjoyed the beautiful scenic views from the cabin deck and surrounding hillside Nature. The lodge was as described. We had wonderful communication with our hosts Chuck and Vicki. We were visited daily by a large black bear who explored our vehicles.

Peaceful and beautiful views

Very cute property, had plenty of room for the 2 of us. Great location, beautiful surroundings- just a few minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and the park. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Saw some bears, on or near the property, which was neat. Several of the utensils were not clean so I rewashed most of the dishes before using them and there were some crumbs on the counter when we first checked in. Plenty of towels and bars of soap. Would have liked some liquid dish soap to be able to wipe things down with. Not sure if the chemicals for the hot tub were correct- something about it caused us to both be coughing during our one attempt at using it. Overall we were satisfied with the cabin - the peacefulness and views from the deck were priceless!

Perfect Location

We couldn’t have been happier with this little cabin! It was clean, comfortable, and ideally located. It was only minutes from everything we wanted to do, but felt so private tucked into the hillside. The hot tub was a definite bonus after trekking downtown or through the park.

Nice place to stay!

Overall we thought the property was amazing. The location was great, it was very private and had all the amenities that we wanted. We were fortunate enough to enjoy several Wildlife encounters. It was very clean and well kept for the most part. Our only complaint would be the caulking in the grout in the shower was moldy which multiple guests have complained about since January. This seems like a fairly easy fix and should be rectified. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our quick getaway to Gatlinburg. We chose this property because we have never stayed in Chalet Village. Neat community and neighborhood, property as listed. It was a convenient drive to the west end of the strip to enjoy all the activities.

A unque cabin, close to everthing

This cabin was nice and cozy. It was clean, had plenty of towels, and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked (except for forks, only two) with pretty much everything that you would need including 4 coffee makers and 2 blenders. The gas grill was nice to have for evening meals. For only being a one-bedroom cabin, it had a big tub, big shower, big patios, and a big hot tub. All of it starting to show its age but in well working order. its always fun staying in a new place and trying to figure out all the light switches. This place was no different. The only way that we could find to turn the outside patio strings lights was on the plug that it was plugged into. I would definitely stay here again but bring a few extra forks.
