“Room was spotless. Restaurant and staff was also excellent. Only complaint was the thinnest of the walls/ceilings, as we heard all of our neighbors. Still slept great. ”

“If your preference is for a modern purpose built hotel, then the Morar hotel might not be for you. It does however offer a spectacular building with feature packed rooms downstairs with grand staircases up to the bedrooms, very clean, modern bathroom in the bedroom we had, unbelievable views from many of the bedroom windows and great food. The staff (Nadia, Tuan, Akram and Trenton) were very friendly and helpful. The location, immediately opposite the station was ideal for us on our railway……

“Rooms are very basic but clean and modern in facilities. WiFi and reception is appealing but understandable considering the stunning mountains all round the hotel. Perfect location for either fort William or for a pit stop to north Scotland Only down was an annoying green light that’s in most of the rooms we’ve stayed in. Get it’s maybe to point to the way out in a fire but it lights up the rooms like a firework at night, not very restful! Beds comfy however and would still recommend”

“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”

“Slightly odd self check in system, especially given I was thinking this would be a conventional bed-and-breakfast or guesthouse experience. We skipped the breakfast offered based on others' reviews. There are some nice options in Portree and other nearby coffee shops and bakeries. The room was spacious and functional. The location is convenient for anyone who just wants to get onto Skye without having to drive any further, especially if having driven from a long distance such as from Inverness.……

Room was a bit small but had a comfortable bed. the washroom was quite large and had nice warm towels. The launch area and the amenities more than compensated for it.”
