“The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!”

I reported it to the front desk and they said I booked third party and all they could do is give us more pillows cases or change rooms. “I reserved a King suite based on the features listed, the main attraction was an additional sofa bed in the room. My mother has mobility issues so the sofa bed would have been low enough for her to sit, lay, and sleep comfortably. Unfortunately this suite was located on the 2nd floor, and with no elevator available on the property, she was not going to be able to traverse a long staircase. The staff member at check in was able to relocate us to a handicap room on the 1st floor. This room……

“We booked the weekend for my son's wedding. We arrived only minutes before we had to be at the rehearsal dinner venue. Check in was quick and easy but we were so disappointed at the cleanliness of the hotel lobby. We could accept the fact that it was very dated but it was very dirty. The hallway carpet on our floor was stained black. But it wasn't just worn, it was dirty. Our room was decent but we would not sit on the couch. The air conditioner was set on 70 but it was 75 in our room and did……

“The rooms and public places were clean. Check in/out was seamless. The reason for a 4 star was due to small but useful things being overlooked like non working fridge, no cups and a non working ice machine.”

“This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel. Both times the staff was courteous and helpful, the room and bathroom were clean and fresh, the bed was comfortable and the linens were new and clean. There is a gym, business center, meeting rooms, and a pool. It is within walking distance of restaurants, and an easy drive to other stores and restaurants. Very nice.”
