![Italy, South Tirol, Natz-Schabs, Schlossergasse, Pfarrkirche Hll. Aposteln Philippus und Jakobus. The first mention of the parish church in Natz dates back to 1157 but the church was consecrated in 1208 by the prince-bishop Konrad von Rodank in honour of Saint Philip and Saint Walpurga. The present church was completed in 1484 in Late Gothic and consecrated once again to the Saints Apostles Philip and James. The bell tower was built in 1400 with granite blocks; in 1635 was damaged by fire and in 1686 was covered with a dome in Baroque style. The high altar is work by Peter Lapper of Natz made in 1855. In the throne of the high altar are the statue of the Madonna, Saint Agnes and Saint Ursula which are Gothc works of 1499 attributed to Michael Parcher; the statues of St. Philip and St. James are by F. X. Renn of Imst made in 1857. The painting of the right lateral altar represent the Baptism of Jesus and the left side altar correspond to the Holy Family, both works are by Michael Lackner of Bruneck. “A gorgeous mountain retreat! We stayed 9 nights and had dinner 8 of the nights. Clean hotel… incredible staff from the front desk to the dining crew. ![Italy, South Tirol, Natz-Schabs, Schlossergasse, Pfarrkirche Hll. Aposteln Philippus und Jakobus. The first mention of the parish church in Natz dates back to 1157 but the church was consecrated in 1208 by the prince-bishop Konrad von Rodank in honour of Saint Philip and Saint Walpurga. The present church was completed in 1484 in Late Gothic and consecrated once again to the Saints Apostles Philip and James. The bell tower was built in 1400 with granite blocks; in 1635 was damaged by fire and in 1686 was covered with a dome in Baroque style. The high altar is work by Peter Lapper of Natz made in 1855. In the throne of the high altar are the statue of the Madonna, Saint Agnes and Saint Ursula which are Gothc works of 1499 attributed to Michael Parcher; the statues of St. Philip and St. James are by F. X. Renn of Imst made in 1857. The painting of the right lateral altar represent the Baptism of Jesus and the left side altar correspond to the Holy Family, both works are by Michael Lackner of Bruneck. " Please be aware if you come with a large group and a car. The check-in instruction provided by the hotel was inaccurate. We came with a car and found it so confusing upon arrival. There was no pass-code provided for the garage as the instruction message stated. Later we found that we have to check-in with the kiosk first and then used the activated room card to open the garage. We stuck at the gate for half an hour because of this. The parking slots are also very small. Even a SUV would need to take 2 slots to park. Many people including us came with a 9-seater van and took a lot of time and risk to park into a spot. At the kiosk you can contact the staff at the hotel but the staff couldn't speak English. The check-in process was also time-consuming. The online form require every guest to scan the passport but the form couldn't be saved for later. Therefore, we couldn't fill the guest information individually. At the kiosk each person has to scan the passport again which made a lot of handicap especially some of us had to look after the car. Talking about the room. It is quite new and clean. Overall it is comfortable. However, the fridge wasn't cooling well even though we set it to maximum. There is also no dish-washer and the smoke detector could be triggered easily with light cooking. The hotel is closed to Ostisei. A travel pass was provided for people who want to get around the area by bus."
