“The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I had nothing but good encounters with them. My complaint is with the property itself. The hotel is run down and in desperate need of renovation. The rooms and hallway smelled funny, with strange stains on the hallway carpet outside my room. I requested a different room after learning the A/C unit produced a squeaking noise like a rusty hamster wheel. The front desk cheerfully assigned me to a different room, and its A/C unit was better. ……

“The super visor of maintenance and housekeeping Mrs Eveit was very nice and respectful. She was very helpful and humble.”

“When we arrived, the only staff available to help was the bartender who sent us to the wrong room. Upon finding our correct room, we pulled back the sheets to see numerous long black hairs and some sort of dirt/debris. As no one was available or answering the phone, we stripped the bed ourselves and did the best we could. The shower/tub had a liner that allowed a lot of water to fall on the floor, which we did the best we could to mop up the water. Positives: it is amazing historic home that……
