“The Staff is excellent. The breakfast was limited but of good quality. My main issue was the bathroom situation. It might be fine in a suite, but the king bedroom situation was substandard. The house is lovely and I expect that this B & B is pretty much what you should expect in terms of price in Pacific Grove. It is an expensive area of CA and things cost more. ”

“So check in was set for 4pm and we had arrived a little before 3pm to try and check in. Front desk checked us in, but told us the room wouldn't be ready for a few hours due to cleaning taking too long. I asked when a good time to return would be and was just told a few hours. She allowed us to use the restroom in the office and we walked to Asilomar beach which was about 10 mins away and had a great time there. We got back maybe 4:30/5-ish and the room was cleaned so we just got our stuff and……

“I rarely write detailed reviews of lodging, however, I am writing today to say the level of care and attention taken to every detail of this stay was superior. The management was friendly, helpful and generous with their time. The room was immaculate and beautifully appointed. I arrived at around 6:00 pm to find a lovely assortment of refreshments including fine wine and an assortment of hors d'oeuvres. Somenone was on board to help with luggage. I will definitely stay at the St. Charles again.”
