“Clean Staff friendly Breakfast was ok Felt bathroom was tired”

“Limited supply of toilet paper. Towels did not look clean. (Heavily stained). Room was fitted with a black out blind and nothing else. No net curtains. Room was poorly lit. Comfortable bed No wall furnishings Good value for money including breakfast”

“This pub is located in the very centre of the town an thus walking distance from most attractions and restaurants. The place is clean though rather basic with few amenities. No breakfast is on offer. Our problem was that the bedrooms appear to have been built into this historic building with little or no sound proofing. The noise from the bar below sounds in the bedroom as if was coming out of the wardrobe! The music played seemed to be a challenge to the drinkers to shout over it. We could get……

“Lovely hotel and very helpful staff. Excellent food. Disappointed with the spa facilities, certainly not luxury. Massage rooms were in a hut next to the swimming pool. You had to walk behind the reception desk and through the swimming pool to get there. There was no relaxation room. Enjoyed the massage but for the price I had hoped for some luxury and somewhere to lie down and chill afterwards. Also you have to go through the tiny gym to get to the hot tub and if someone is using the treadmill……

“The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night.……

“We stayed in ‘Hedgehogs View’ for two nights, the location and view were second to none. The privacy of this specific accommodation was perfect as it’s at the top/back of the other ‘hobbit holes’ , so when using the hot tubs and walking around you’re not visible to anybody else. Our initial perspective was that the accommodation was beautiful , great facilities and well styled . Once we’d settled we noticed a lot of black mould spots in the main bedroom , above the bed area and dotted over the……

“A lovely house in a beautiful location should’ve given us a wonderful holiday but it was far from the 4 star anniversary experience we were hoping for after a very difficult year for my wife & I. We had to be moved from our room due to the shower tray not draining but there were old coffee stains on the skirting board, tablecloth & curtains, not to mention stains on one of the “clean” towels. Poor staff communication meant our room transfer was a disaster & resulted in us being given the key to……
