“Avoid this place . I arrived after 11pm (for a $650 - 2 night stay) walked into the assigned room and found an unmade bed with dirty covers on the couch/floor (to be put back on the bed ??Gross !!) I waited in the hallway while they tried to find a clean room (no manager on site) , was told I would have to switch to a new room in the morning and to top it all off the temporary room also had dirty bedding :( They woke me up 6hrs. later to switch rooms. NO APPOLOGIES , just a wake up call……

“Beautiful spot, super communicative.”

“It is very good! ”

“Lots if parking. Great place. Bar closes early”

“I cannot say enough about this beautiful, boutique hotel! The staff was amazing and very communicative. As we were traveling from Martha's Vineyard with a stop in Boston, they ensured that they stayed in touch with me as I had to guesstimate my time of arrival. They texted and said my room was ready and that I could check in early. I appreciated this so much. The fresh baked chocolate chip cookies!! What a treat every night! The common area and all the amenities went above and beyond what I was……

“Excellent! Super easy access and check-in/check-out process and quick communication. Buildings and rooms are impeccable and gorgeously decorated in historic fashion. Comfy king bed in the Rajah room, beautiful clawfoot tub or a separate shower, and the main house was amazing as well. Great continental breakfast options”

We also had difficulty with the electric lock on the front door every single time we tried to get in. We felt as if maybe the battery was dying in it. Called the number on the app and left a voicemail when we were locked out for a while last night and never heard back, like at all. Not even today. Would……

“It’s a bit out of the way n terms of being tucked away but staff were great even checking in at 11.30pm! Grounds looked clean, the free grab and go breakfast is awful but expected… would stay there again definitely.”

“Great clean place to stay! The host was very nice.”

“absolutely amazing. was in walking distance to everything! Place was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. I never wanted to leave! Anytime I come back to salem, I'm definitely staying here. perfect all around”
